Advanced Research Specialist for Pressure Sensitive Adhesives
What is your specialty as far as background work and major?
My specialty is Industrial Technology Development. I am a Chemical Engineer (BE, MS) and Polymer Chemist (PhD) by training.
What are your main responsibilities at Adaptive3D?
I lead the Technology Development Group supporting current and new resin technologies.
What’s the most exciting thing you’ve done at work recently?
Our team developed a resin that is now being sold as a component in a consumer product. By a truly cross-functional approach, we engaged with a customer to understand a need, evaluated and articulated a unique solution, and successfully delivered.
What do you like about working at Adaptive3D?
Being part of the premium manufacturer of resins for Additive Manufacturing (AM) and developing the whole AM field with an exceptional group of people. We can react fast, and we are adaptive.
Why did you choose the additive manufacturing/3D printing field?
Additive manufacturing is without a doubt the driver of the next industrial revolution. I had the opportunity of joining Adaptive3D, a fast growth, high impact company in the field and I embraced that opportunity. Now we are really moving the needle with disruptive polymer technologies that are materializing manufacturing using 3D printers
Where do you see 3D printing in 5 years?
I see it mainstreamed in multiple consumer, industrial and biomedical products.
What hobbies do you have outside of work?
Road cycling, homebrewing and half-marathon running
What is your favorite scientific field?
Materials Engineering
What is something you’re involved in, personally or professionally, that you’d like to see more 3D-Printed parts?
I’d like to see parts that not only provide differentiated performance from the property perspective but also that enhance comfort. Renewable content and recyclability are also valuable attributes.
